(Photo by Pattarachai Preechapanich)Police are scrambling to identify who was behind a low-impact pipe bomb blast outside the old Government Lottery Office (GLO) by looking at possible links to past bombings in Bangkok. "I personally would not go as far as saying it was politically motivated but we can't rule out anything until we find the perpetrators," Pol Lt Gen Sanit said. Police believe they were parts of a low-impact pipe bomb which was designed to cause panic rather than claim lives or cause injuries at the scene. The footage is proving useful, Pol Lt Gen Sanit said. The goal is to identify the culprit, discover the motive and determine whether there are accomplices or a mastermind behind the pipe bombing Pol Lt Gen Sanit said.
